Jane Davies
Jane Davies has been providing international clients both corporate and private with exclusive designs since 1989. She believes strongly in utilising the expertise of British textile manufacturers not only because of the exceptionally high quality of the products but also because she can be personally involved in overseeing sampling and production.

One of her early collections was showcased by Premiere collections at both the NIA in Birmingham and London Fashion Week where it was supplied throughout the UK and Europe. This allowed Jane to showcase her work on the international stage.

Dupont Lycra commissioned Jane to develop a range as an aid to promotional and advertising campaigns. Contracts came to design ranges for outsize ladies wear, children’s and sportswear for established companies.  The offer to join an evening wear design team in New York was turned down, the energy was focused on the Jane Davies Label and no other.

The Launch in 1999 of ‘Jane Davies Cymru’ a range aimed at promoting the world through their national flag. The collection was designed for all ages and sizes from day wear to evening wear and sold throughout U.K, Japan and America from independents to stores.

A great achievement was to develop and deliver the Style, trend and colour predictions project for the Welsh Assembly Government – Design Wales.  The company contracted prestigious companies such as Mode and Promostyl to present seminars to designers in all disciplines who could access commercial information to help keep Welsh design companies at the forefront of developments within the industry.

In 2004 the company project managed the development of all staff uniforms for the opening of Wales Millennium Centre in conjunction with Newport College of fashion. Star performers also commissioned magnificent, elaborate gowns and suits for the opening weekend.

Having extensive knowledge of trends within the fashion industry Jane presented a show for ITV bringing the seasons key looks from the high street to selected persons in need of a wardrobe reshuffle and image change taking into account their lifestyle. The aim of the show was not to create a new image but to develop their personality through clothing giving them extra confidence at an affordable price. Jane also advises and features on fashion related topics for many press articles.

The Company has enjoyed working on an international level launching collections in the UK, United States, Kuwait and Dubai with Television and press coverage globally.
